Summer Update 2025
|
|
July 21, 2025
|
New Bloody Tusks Quest and Between the Lines Quest, with new equipment, new hunting areas, and new monsters. Imbuing system improvements. Visual improvements for Special Conditions. Addition of the Weapon Proficiency system.
|
- New Bloody Tusks Quest for Premium Accounts and a minimum level requirement of 250, containing a new storyline about a creepy orcish and vampiric reunion.
- Implementation of new hunting grounds with new enemies, having expected difficulty somewhere between Bulltaur Lair/Nimmersatt's Breeding Ground and Ingol.
- New challenges containing complex mechanics.
- New equipment can be obtained, but they are not best in slot.
- New Between the Lines Quest for Premium Accounts and characters with the Familiar spell, introducing a new storyline about mysterious books that develop a life of their own.
- Implementation of new hunting grounds with new enemies, having expected difficulty level comparable to Lion Sanctum and Asura Palace.
- New outfit and items as rewards
- Changes to the Imbuing System:
- The success rate boost is being eliminated. All imbuements will have a 100% success rate going forward, with the gold cost being adjusted to 7,500gp (Basic), 60,000gp (Intricate), and 250,000gp (Powerful).
- The Imbuing Shrine menu has been updated to reflect the changes and to enhance overall usability. It now displays only the imbuement slots that are actually available for each item.
- Introduction to Tradeable Imbuement Scrolls
- A new item called Blank Imbuement Scroll has been introduced. It can be obtained as loot, and also purchased from NPC Albinius for 25,000 gold.
- At any imbuing shrine, a Powerful Imbuement can be inscribed onto the blank scroll. This consumes the blank imbuement scroll and produces a powerful imbuement scroll.
- To perform this inscription, the player must have permission to create powerful imbuements and a Premium Account.
- There are a total of 24 unique powerful imbuement scrolls, one for each imbuement type.
- Powerful imbuement scrolls and blank imbuement scrolls are stackable and tradeable in the Market. Powerful imbuement scrolls can also be purchased and used by Free Account players.
- Furthermore, an Etcher removes all imbuements from an item. It costs 30,000 gold and is also sold by NPC Albinius.
- Addition to HUD capability to showcase Special Conditions beside character's health arcs.
- Addition of a new Weapon Proficiency system that allows players to unlock new mods as their characters become proficient with each weapon they use. This comes with several changes:
- Nearly every weapon has its own Weapon Proficiency with 1 to 7 levels, each level having 1 to 3 unlockable perks.
- Players gain character bound Proficiency Progress with a weapon by killing monsters while the weapon is equipped.
- All characters now have a default Critical Hit chance of 5%, as well as 10% critical Extra Damage, and all weapons no longer provide any critical hit chance by default.
- Strike Imbuements have been rebalanced to align with the new base values. Example: Powerful Strike changed from "+10% critical hit chance, +50% critical extra damage" --> "+5% critical hit chance, +40% critical extra damage".
- Certain weapons now have reduced attributes, with the goal that they are compensated and often exceeded quickly by reaching higher levels of Weapon Proficiency.
- All sources of critical hit chance are now added together and displayed in the Offence Stats section of the Cyclopedia.

Auto-learn Spells Update
|
|
January 27, 2026
|
|
The update changed the game so that spells are unlocked automatically upon leveling up and no longer require any cost:
- Spells that previously had to be learnt from spell trainers are now unlocked automatically when levelling up, free of charge.
- Spell trainers can no longer teach spells; related NPCs and map guides have been adjusted accordingly. NPCs remain available for interaction, but no longer teach spells.
- Spells are unlocked at the same level as before and remain available in the Spellbook and the Magical Archive.
- Newly unlocked spells are automatically added to the Action Bars if space is available. This behaviour can be disabled in the options.
- For existing characters, all spells up to the current character level are unlocked automatically without being added to the Action Bar.
- Each newly unlocked spell is announced via a banner message.
- These changes apply to all characters, regardless of Free or Premium status.
- Not affected are starting spells, spells from the Wheel of Destiny, and spells learned via quests, shrines, or specific NPC interactions.
