A Convinced creature can be created by using Convince Creature Runes on creatures to convert them to your side. Some Creatures can not be Summoned, but they can be convinced. Summoned Creatures can never be convinced.
Until Aug 09, 2011, convincing other players' summons was possible. On PvP worlds, a player's summon (excluding monks) could be forced to defect from your enemy and fight for you. As a paladin or a knight, you could convince creatures summoned by a mage; for instance, a paladin could pay a mage to summon a demon skeleton and convince it to help him hunt dragons.
