Effect
Makes all creatures nearby change their target to the caster for at least 6 seconds.
Notes
In the heat of battle it is crucial to distract the monsters' attention from weaker party members. For this reason the knights, who are traditionally the best melee fighters in Tibia, have developed this remarkable spell. Whenever it is cast in combat, all surrounding monsters will be filled with blind rage and rush to attack the knight, forgetting their current targets. Many lives have been saved by this spell, but quite a number of knights have also paid their courage with their lives, so make sure you are strong enough to meet those you challenge by casting this spell. The sage Eremo teaches this spell to elite knights, who are exceptionally strong in close combat and thus predestined for using it.
This spell is mostly used in team hunts to keep creatures from targeting the rest of the team. It can also prevent creatures from running in low health (e.g. Nightmares), making it useful for knights hunting alone.
If a creature's path to the caster is blocked, creatures might change their target before the spell's duration is over.
Summoned creatures are unaffected by this spell as they will attack what their owner targets. Players are not affected by this spell.
This Spell can only be purchased by Elite Knights.
History
On April 17, 2009, challenge spell is no longer an aggressive spell, which means you can use it in a combination with aggressive spells.
Before the Summer Update 2017, this spell only made creatures change target to the caster without any other effect, meaning creatures would still be able to switch target immediately. This made it seem like spell had no effect on some creatures due do to their high retarget rates. In addition, it used to be impossible to stop creatures from running in low health, but this update also forced creatures to attack you instead of running away, while under the 6 second effect of the spell.
It used to look like this:
