The Red Knight attacks in melee range. The Red Knight never retreats.

Strategy

The Red Knight does not take any direct damage from players since its immune to all elements but Drown Damage. To kill it, you must kill the Vampiric Bloods near the boss. The vampires explode dealing Drown Damage which will damage The Red Knight. The players can use Diving Equipment to avoid this damage.
