Before Gamemasters were dismissed, CipSoft gave them a list of items to choose as a token of their appreciation and this is one of the items that were on this list.

On August 6, 2010, GM Leen Leonhart created a thread that announced she chose a Solar Axe as reward and opened an auction.

On August 4, 2010, GM Dragonas created a thread that he'd possibly be selling one which on August 6, 2010 he made official that he was auctioning one.
