It is an automated or semi-automated account for making repetitive edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually.

This TavinBot will maintain the lists that are found on the Items and Creatures pages (the ones in the box on the right). Every time the source page is updated, this bot will also update the list template.
For example, every time someone updates the Rings page (changes ring order, adds new rings, etc.), this bot will automatically update the page Template:Rings List with the changes.
Standard operation is as follows:
- Every 30 Minutes
- Checks Special:Recent changes to see if any "watched" pages have been updated.
- If there have been changes that this bot cares about, the it will update its local database to flag the necessary lists for update.
- Every 5-10 Minutes
- Checks its local database to see if any lists are flagged for update
- If one or more lists need updated, then it will update one of these lists.
- Every two days
- Checks the categories Category:Creature Types and Category:Item Types to find new type lists to maintain
