Added Data
I added some things which I'm not 100% sure of (I know, I should not add inaccurate data) but it is based on who receives free premium (senior helpers) and who got access to test server last time (helpers). Since it will probably stay the same it is not very important to have this data, but still nice to know. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 13:54, September 18, 2009 (UTC)
New Appointments
CipSoft has asked me to come up with the list of new appointments for the next 6 months.
Does anyone think any changes are required to the current lineup? Has anyone gone idle that should be replaced by a more active member, etc.? --Erig 06:41, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
I think it is good as it is now. If Sixorish wanted to be a helper he could replace a less active member, but that's totally up to him. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 07:20, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
So Rejana mailed me and it's time for the re-evaluation, I can appoint 5 helpers from which 3 get 180 free premium days. If you are an administrator, please request what you would like. Right now I know Erig and Hunter of Dragoes requested to be premium helper and DM to be a normal helper. Craggles and Alreth, do you still want to stay normal helper? Beejay, you can be a premium helper or a normal helper if you want. CipSoft gives away 3 premium packages, it would be a waste if they were not used ;) ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 14:41, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
- I've no use for the premium time at the moment. Thanks none-the-less

I'm willing to be a helper with either position. The premium time would be useful as I don't have a job as of yet, although if anyone else would prefer to take it, it is fine by me. :) I'm not quite sure of the roles of the helpers.. I know it would be useful to TibiaWiki during test server times as well as bug reporting for Cipsoft, but is there any other jobs helpers do? beejay 17:00, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
- You are one of people who should get such position just because of your activity at wiki -thumb up- --Jura 18:32, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
Besides getting free premium time and having access to private test servers, there are no other things helpers do. I have no idea why Cip spends so much time/money on these fansite things, while they have a very limited time for technical issues. But it's kinda nice and useful. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 20:05, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
Whatever their reason behind Cipsoft doing it, I think it is useful from the fansites' point of view, so it's a good waste of time. I would enjoy helping out. Thank you Jura, whether that was to me or not. :) beejay 23:03, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
- That was to you :p About the spending money on fansites... A MMORPG without fansites is just dead. No fansites = no players. Especially when it comes to some popular fansites - they just generate some income, entertain players and so on so on. Cipsoft could also maintain wiki itself (Blizzard do it with their Armory) but that would cost much more than 3 PACCs :p Cipsoft get players, Tibiawiki get some free PACCs and everyone is happy :p -- Jura 11:25, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
- Shame our website could be classed as game breaking. Our quest section alone must ruin economies just by flooding it with new quest items dead on update day.

- Get some other content in then :p The description of cities is minimal, gods - same, no graphic at all, connections between books, NPCs, graveyards - almost none... Well, most people seek for spoilers, that's their right :) Jura 14:10, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
2010 admissions
Ok, I just emailed Rejana the names 'Erig, Hunter of Dragoes and Beejay squeek' (I assumed you wanted the premium time one your own accounts). ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 14:15, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
Didn't expect the voucher to come so fast. :o Atleast TibiaWiki wasn't made to be one big spoiler and isn't the only website with spoiling information, although this is probably what TibiaWiki is most famous for. beejay 22:55, April 14, 2010 (UTC)
- That's wiki - kind of encyclopaedia. Also there is lack of RPG info, articles are written in short way, to give information not good feeling. Low amount of mid/high active contributors. Low amount of native English speakers. Welcome to TibiaWiki :p --- Jura 14:10, April 15, 2010 (UTC)
Good news! The private test server for the upcoming summer update will be online soon (rumors say tomorrow, I think at least within a week). I already had to give names for the test server quite some time ago, but I just realized I never listed them for you, they are "Erig, Hunter of Dragoes, DM, Beejay, Craggles". When I have more information I will message you. I don't know what your opinion is but I thought to not spoil everything completely yet during test server, give other players the chance to do some new quests on their own (because that's a lot of fun). You can either test the new content to find bugs, or do some testing for TibiaWiki. Ideas are: finding the percentage to get on the Ghostship or in a Tropical Storm (because there is free gold). Other things which can be done is getting pictures of houses/guildhalls to our Buildings pages. I will probably not be online a lot, because of exams next 2 weeks. So that's all for now.. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 22:14, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
I would like to say good luck for your exams! I hope that the test server is indeed tomorrow (at a guess I thought it would be today). My intention was to help DM with getting house images during this update, as I doubt I would be able to complete the new frontier to get to the newest area. I guess testing the ghostship and the shipwreck would also be useful, I always thought that those were dependant on the time. Beejay 23:43, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
@Beejay: It most likely is. Pseudo-random number generation cannot easily be approached and time is one of the few continuous units which can be used by a computer as a reliable means of it. It is unreliable for many applications though: games which will use random events extensively, especially ones not based on the Internet, often see RNG-abuse (particularly for competitive gaming). Other methods include natural phenomena (which you won't see in an offline game, probably rare in any game tbh) which are entirely unpredictable.
With that said, a statistical approach would give results even if it is based on time. If you get a large enough sample you could find a chance even if there was a formula to derive it. To argue against this is like saying your chances of looting a rare item are not probabilistic. Yet we have statistics pages arguing against that! Yes, rare items looted must also have a means of generating pseudo-random numbers. -- Sixorish 01:33, June 17, 2010 (UTC)
Appointments for 2011
We are discussing this matter internally. Once the helpers are chosen, I will update this article.
