Layout suggestion
I suggest to change the layout of this template. Instead of a whole div or box, I think just an image of a lock in the top-right corner of the page is enough, like on wikipedia. See: wikipedia:Template:Pp-dispute.

Me too. Should we make our own lock, perhaps use item images? —Arkshi (Talk | contribs) 20:23, November 9, 2012 (UTC)
Maybe a Golden Key
for fully protected pages and a Silver Key
for semi-protected pages? A key is not a lock, but it's somehow similar thinking..

I would prefer the Wikipedia padlock icon, it makes more sense to me. Plus I think the keys are too thin to be noticed, and the difference (between golden and silver) is too small to recognize. -- Sixorish (talk) 01:24, November 11, 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I tested a bit on Template:Protected/New. But CSS is hard to grasp.. -- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 13:53, November 22, 2012 (UTC)
I implemented the new template, although I could not fix the alt text thing (see the reason of protection when hovering). -- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 09:53, September 14, 2013 (UTC)
