Mushrooms are mostly found in swampy areas like the underground Ab'dendriel areas and the Shadow Caves. Also in Tiquanda they are found widely.

| Brown Mushroom | ✓ | ✓ | Brown Mushrooms are one of the best foods for long trips. They provide one of the highest regeneration seconds per ounce eaten, making them very useful to mages in hunting places without food. These are not only lighter than white mushrooms, but heal more per gp spent buying them, so it's not only more efficient, but more cost effective to spend the same gp on these as you would on white mushrooms. Also, it's the best food obtainable in a shop. 100 brown mushrooms weigh 20 oz. and will last you 7 h 20 m. Because of its low weight, they are useful for training.
Can be found at daily spawns in a Rotworm cave in PoH, Dusalk's Troll Clan Cave east of Dwarven Bridge, Wyrm mountain in Liberty Bay and in Hyacinth's tower and the War Wolf Den on Rookgaard. 100 of them can be obtained through the Steal From Thieves Quest and 10 can be obtained as an optional reward in The Hidden City of Beregar Quest. 10 of these are needed in the Hot Cuisine Quest.

| Green Mushroom | ✓ | ✓ | Green mushrooms have decent regeneration per ounce (600s/oz), but they are far inferior to store-bought Brown Mushrooms. For the amount green mushrooms sell, you could buy 2640 seconds of regeneration from brown mushrooms (vs. 60 from green mushrooms). In addition to the cost inefficiency, their regeneration per oz is lower than half of brown mushrooms': 600s/oz vs. 1320s/oz. In this way, one could think of green mushrooms to be compared to creature products: they weigh next to nothing, sell high, and are stackable. It is not recommended to use these as a source of food unless it is the only food available.
Can be found at daily spawns around Green Claw Swamp. There's one here and there's also one right next to the tree which you open to get the Blood Herb. One green mushroom is required during a mission for The Shattered Isles Quest to gain access to Talahu.
