Overview

As of July 2, 2019, Tibia introduced the Main Character and Main Character Change as a preparation for the launch of the Friend List, allowing players to select a main character for their account. The main character represents your account in the friend list, making it easier for others to identify you.

How to Change Your Main Character

Main Character Change Available for Purchase: Should you desire to switch your main character, you have the option to acquire a Main Character Change from the in-game Store for 250 Tibia Coins. Please bear in mind that this functionality is exclusively accessible through the store interface within the game.

Free Main Character Change for New Accounts: As of August 1, 2023, Tibia has updated the main character system, and all newly created accounts are now eligible for a one-time free main character change. This means new players can choose a different character to represent their account in the friend list without any cost.

Free Main Character Change for Existing Accounts: Additionally, accounts made between May 01, 2023 and August 01, 2023, are also eligible for the 1 time Main Character Change as long as they have not already used the main character change feature. If you meet these criteria, you can now change your main character once for free.

Please take note that in order to make use of the complimentary Main Character Change offered on August 1, 2023, you are required to log in and access the feature through the in-game store.

History

Main Character Change Voucher: Before July 02 2019, Tibia provided a one-time Main Character Change voucher to each account, accessible under 'Products Ready To Use' in the account management page on the website. This voucher allowed players to select a new main character, with the exception of hidden, scheduled for deletion, or Tournament characters. However, please be aware that the Main Character Change vouchers assigned to accounts in July 2019 expired on September 30, 2021, at 23:59:59 CEST, and they have all since expired.
