The name of Aurora along with its American counterpart Aurera were chosen by the community in a poll.
Aurora was a Preview Game World, meaning it has new features that regular game worlds did not yet have, but also involved more risk as bugs were more likely during the testing phase.
It was permanently locked from world transfers.
